Buying disposable straws? | No plastic straws at Straw by Straw
Since the SUP legislation, much has changed for the hospitality industry regarding straws. What types of straws can you buy and where? We have a few tips for you and have listed the frequently asked questions about buying straws!
What types of straws are available?
There are different types of straws. The most common ones used to be made of plastic, but fortunately, these are no longer allowed as they are so bad for the environment! Nowadays, you can find eco-friendly straws made from materials such as paper, bamboo, and straw. All these materials can come in different forms. Some metal straws have a special coating to make them durable and strong. There are also insulated metal straws that keep drinks warm or cold and have a non-toxic coating. The demand for flexible straws is also high, which is useful for children or in hospital settings. Common plastic alternatives for flexible straws include paper straws.
Are there other alternatives to plastic straws?
Yes, there are many alternatives to plastic straws. The most common options are bamboo, paper, metal, glass, and reusable or biodegradable plastic straws. Bamboo straws are durable, environmentally friendly, renewable, and strong. Paper straws are also durable, environmentally friendly, and cheap. Metal straws can serve you well if you wash and sanitize them regularly. Glass straws are reusable but can easily break. Reusable plastic straws are environmentally friendly but not as cheap. In short, if you are looking for an eco-friendly alternative to plastic straws, there are many options to choose from.
Where can I buy colorful straws?
Are you looking for the perfect straw? Then color might also be important. Paper straws come in all colors and prints. The most well-known are the paper straws with the green bamboo print, or red and white, or pink and white. There are even paper straws with colored dots! With reed straws and straw straws, or bamboo straws, you have a natural color, namely the color of the plant stem. This is also called 'natural' color. We often get the question if our straws are available in multiple colors, and the answer is "No." We only sell natural materials and aim to minimize environmental impact. Besides, it would be a shame to alter the natural character!
Where can I buy straws?

Is it possible to buy biodegradable straws?
Yes, it is possible to buy biodegradable straws. There are several suppliers and wholesalers where you can purchase these plastic straw alternatives. The most natural, biodegradable straws are made from bamboo, straw, or reed. These are natural materials (essentially plant stems) and are therefore very environmentally friendly. FAQs
